The Ultimate Gift for Gamers

So you've got a gamer in your life. Maybe it's a family member, a partner, or a really good friend. Maybe their birthday is coming up, and you don't know what to get them, because they already have everything need! Well, lucky for you, Bleachy Keen is 2 nerds making stuff for other nerds, so we have a few ideas about what they might want!!

First things first, have you looked for a wishlist? They may already have one on Amazon that you can search with their name. And if they're a PC gamer, they almost definitely already have a wishlist on Steam. All you need to know is their gamertag, and you've got a list of video games that they've been eyeing but haven't purchased yet. BAM! Easy. You're welcome.

But if you want to give them something physical or you can't find any wishlists, what else is out there?

For the Tabletop / Roleplaying Gamer:

A screenshot of the reddit community for dice. It shows that there are 30,000 members, and the number one rule says, "posts must be related to dice

If you've got a tabletop gamer friend, you simply can't go wrong with dice! There are some gorgeous options out there in a range of prices, so this is great if you need something budget friendly OR if you want to get a little extravigant. You can usually pick up something like a classic Chessex dice set at your local game store or check out Dispel Dice if you want something on the pricier end! There's even an entire subreddit about -- you guessed it -- dice and only dice (r/dice), which is a great resource if you want to vet the company you're buying from.

There are also lots of dice accessories you can check out! Dice towers, dice bags (or boxes! or banks!), dice displays! So many options.

The nice thing about dice is that most rpg lovers will agree that you simply can't have too many smooth math rocks! But what if the person you're buying for prefers their gaming experience to be a little more electronic? It's not like most video gamers are out here rotating what game controller they are using every few sessions (or dubbing one of them "unlucky" like dice rollers sometimes do!). Plus, you may not even know what game system(s) they prefer to use! It can be tricky, so let's talk about other options.

For the Video Gamer:

Four slate coasters with logos from the video game Destiny etched into them with a laser

Any gamer would be stoked about an ultrawide monitor if you're looking to spend a good amount of money. But if you're not looking to drop more than $100, it's probably best to just stay away from accessories unless you definitely know the exact item your gamer wants. But if you knew that... you wouldn't be here, right?

If I know anything about gamers (because hi! I am one!) it's that we love to show off whatever game we're SUPER into right now! I want my home to reflect the things I love, so collectibles could be a great option. A Funko Pop is classic, or a figurine. But if you don't feel confident about making those choices, you could try a functional home item with their favorite video game logo engraved on it. We offer things like coasters that are a great option in this general area.

For Any Type of Gamer:

Another option is a conversation starter they can take out in the world with them! We offer keychains with a HUGE variety of images from video games, anime, tabletop gaming, comic books, and more. And they're all customizable, so if you want to add a name or a short phrase, you can make the gift mean even more.

The last suggestion we've got for you is something they can wear. We offer apparel for video games like Destiny, Fall Out, and Pokemon, as well designs inspired by roleplaying games! We even offer a customization option for our hoodies, so that you can add a gamertag or character name down the sleeve, making a truly unique gift that your gamer isn't going to find anywhere else.
